Travel blog hiking in the Chilterns also known as The Chiltern Hills, is a chalk escarpment in England. The area is northwest of London and covers 660 square miles stretching 45 miles from Goring-on-Thames to Hitchin across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, and Bedfordshire in a southwest to a northeast diagnol. The hills are 12 miles at their widest.
